Glen/Mar provided all work necessary from barges or other floating plants to accomplish the concrete demolition on the spillway ogee, installation of dewatering frame brackets, installation of Top Spillway Weirs (TSW's) hold down brackets, and removal of Avian Deterrent array lines on the John Day Dam Spillway. Per the requirements of this contract Glen/Mar provided all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct a spillway flow deflector in the tailrace of the John Day Dam. In performance of this work, Glen/Mar was required to dewater the affected area to a depth of approximately 55 feet using existing stoplogs and fabricated guides. Access to the tailrace also included removal and replacement of Avian Deterrent Array cables. Additionally, the work completed included relocation of TSW's that were located in bays 15 and 16 to bays 18 and 19 at the spillway at the John Day Project. Relocation of these TSW's required the use of a barge crane.

This completed work consisted of fabrication, concrete demolition, anchor installation, mass concrete placement, work over water, dewatering, avian array removal and reinstallation, barge crane work, diving, and other miscellaneous tasks to complete the work as defined in the contract documents. In order to satisfactorily complete this contract G/M was required to remove or alter existing project features in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portions of the existing project.
