Glen/Mar replaced approximately 3,100 linear feet of existing 24-inch cast iron water transmission line at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam with polyethylene-wrapped, cement-mortar-lined ductile iron pipe.
The work included associated piping, valves, connections and reconnections to existing distribution mains, including connections serving the Shipyard system. Existing waterlines remained in service during construction. Following completion and activation of the new transmission main, the existing lines were abandoned in place and filled with controlled low-strength concrete.
